I’ve met my body and I’m following Her - both for the 1st time
I took Julie's course at the beginning of August, it's now the first week of November and my body - now a size 12, down from 2x - is galloping ahead and I'm simply following her. For the first time in my life I finally understand my body as a life force in itself, and not as something I have to 'deal with' (often resentfully). And that what I eat is what enables (or disables) this life force to do what it was born to do. And now that I’m feeding it with what it actually needs, the weight is falling off because it doesn’t need that anymore. I was pretty skeptical at first, like so many people, but it’s incredible how liberating this is - to eat as a way to take care of something that’s dependent on me – like a small child, or a puppy (as Julie suggested) – a presence I can actually recognize and love for what it is and for what it does. And it’s SO MUCH FUN to watch ‘her’ thriving ahead of me, instead of being dragged behind me. And it’s certainly is a lot of fun to see how beautiful I’m becoming – and all the compliments that come with that. Hooray for this process, hooray for my tender body! Thank you Julie for opening this up for both of us.
