Spaghetti squash italiano
Turkey with veggies and sauce over squash
Spaghetti squash ,
1lb ground protein ( turkey, beef , lamb , chicken )
1 green pepper ,
1 red pepper ,
1 medium onion .
1 can whole plum tomatoes ,
1 can diced fire roasted tomatoes
1 small tomato paste.
2 bay leaves,
1/2 cup chopped fresh basil,
salt and pepper to taste.
How To Prepare
- Cut squash in half long ways, remove seeds.
- Place cut size down in baking dish.
- Add 1/2" water cover with foil tight and bake 350 until al dented ( fork goes in easy to squash)
- make sauce: brown meat, and veggies
- Add tomatoes and simmer for 20 min
- Add tomato paste and simmer 10 min. more.
- Add basil ,
- s&p( can add more seasoning at this point to your taste )
- scrape squash out of shell into bowl
- and top with meat sauce in equal amounts. Enjoy!
